 Creating Heroes with AI Magic!

Hi there, dear reader!

This time, I’m thrilled to share the creative process of our latest project with my teammates, Selen and Berkay. We designed AI-integrated teaching material as a follow-up activity for high school prep students learning about adjectives. Our mission? To encourage students to bring their imagination to life!


The Task

So, dear reader, here’s how it works! We created a worksheet where students start by brainstorming adjectives to describe superheroes. Imagine words like "fearless," "graceful," or "sneaky" shaping unique characters. Then comes the exciting part—using ChatGPT to transform their descriptions into a visual hero! Students can change the image until it matches their vision, name their hero, and write a brief paragraph about their powers and personality.

It doesn’t end there, dear reader! We’ve also added a reflection section for students to share their thoughts on how ChatGPT helped their creativity and what challenges they faced. The integration of AI makes language learning engaging and dynamic. Students not only practice using adjectives but also see how their words shape visuals. Stay tuned—at the end of this post, you’ll find our full worksheet to explore yourself!


Our Journey

Dear reader, let me tell you—this task was an absolute joy! Choosing the concept was both easy and exciting since AI offers so many possibilities. We considered various options before settling on this hero-creation idea, which we felt would be the most inspiring for students. Working with Selen and Berkay was fantastic, and I want to thank them for their creativity and teamwork.

  Digital Storytelling Long time no see, my dear reader. I hope you are doing well!💪 Today we are talking about using digital storytelling for education, which is a great way to make the most of all the creative elements in 21st century education.   What is this week's fantastic task? Welcome back, my dear reader! Once again, I present to you a very current topic, which is podcasting🎉 Our instructor gave us a task and asked us to choose one of different topics to prepare a podcast. The topic I choose is "60 second idea to improve the world", which is a podcast series broadcasted on BBC. Even though I love the topic I choose, preparing it wasn't as easy as I thought😱 I'm recording a podcast for the first time! The challenging part of the topic I choose was not finding an idea to change the world but rather trying to explain it in just 60 seconds. After all, dear reader, small yet world-changing ideas often comes our minds, don't they?
