Exploring AR/VR Teaching Materials!
Let's explore AR/VR-integrated teaching material!
Hi there, dear reader. Welcome back!
This week, we dove into a super exciting project: creating AR/VR-integrated teaching material! Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Our task, assigned by our teacher, was to design a learning experience for high school English prep students that uses AR/VR to bring lessons to life. We were asked to introduce landmarks, a museum, and a cultural highlight of a city and then bring it all together with an engaging worksheet for the students. So, where did our journey take us? Brazil! More specifically, the dynamic and colorful city of Rio de Janeiro.
Our Work
Our task was to create a fun way for students to learn about Rio, dear reader. Using 360-degree YouTube videos and Google Arts & Culture, we took them on a virtual tour of the National Museum of Fine Arts, where they explored amazing exhibits. We asked interesting questions to make them think and share their ideas—like picking their favorite artwork and explaining why. This made the experience both personal and memorable.
At the end, we gave them a creative activity: writing an invitation letter! They pretended to invite a friend to Rio, describing all the cool places, the museum, and the carnival they discovered. This final step brought everything together, mixing creativity with what they learned.
Now, dear reader, let’s talk teamwork—the real magic behind this project. Selen and I took the lead in researching and curating the materials, making sure every detail was spot on. Meanwhile, Berkay, our design guru, turned all our ideas into a stunning worksheet using Canva. Honestly, we really enjoyed the whole process—brainstorming, discussing, and designing—and we hope, dear reader, that you’ll appreciate our effort when you see our work!
The Process
Did this task feel as fun as it was for us? I think so! Tools like Canva made the design process smooth and enjoyable, and working together made everything flow naturally. Sure, there were a few small challenges, but seeing the final product was so rewarding. It’s amazing what a little creativity and teamwork can achieve! And that’s a wrap, dear reader! We’re excited to share our worksheet with you—you’ll find it right here, ready for you to check out. We hope it inspires you to explore the world of AR/VR teaching materials. Let me know what you think!
Until next time! Goodbye, dear reader...
